This workshop is designed for complete beginners to the ashtanga yoga method or those of you have been practicing ashtanga yoga for a year or less.


Get a solid foundation in your understanding and practice of Ashtanga Yoga. You will learn what Ashtanga Yoga is as well as learn fundamental methods of how to breathe and move to give your practice a solid foundation. We won't be practicing Ashtanga Yoga for 3 hours as that would be too tiring but we will have more time to discuss and learn than a regular class allows. There will be a yoga practice geared towards a beginner ashtanga practitioner as well as a question and answer session at the end where you can ask any questions you have.


This workshop is taught by Helen Aldred. Helen has been practicing yoga for 20 years and teaching ashtanga yoga for 9 years. She has a particular interest in introducing people to yoga and making yoga accesssable to all levels.
